Smart society with Advier | Keeping the world moving!

17-06-2022 5:30 PM

What do our cities and neighbourhoods of the future look like? How do we design our residential areas to make them more sustainable, efficient and liveable? Can Melbourne become the most liveable city again in the future?

On Thursday 16th of June we have a hot topic NCCA event coming up at the International Chamber House that addresses these questions.

Our guests, Minze Walvius and Elke Kroft of Dutch consultancy company Advier, are visiting Australia to convince Australian cities to learn from the lessons learned in the EU.

During an interactive session, they will share their insights about how, together with governmental organisations, project developers, universities and (shared mobility) service providers they organise and manage a multi-disciplinary approach in changing city planning from facilitating cars to facilitating inhabitants. As consultants working for private and public parties, they know the rebound effect of current policy and will share examples from their projects aimed at behaviour change of travellers, politicians, investors, etc.

Mobility hub

Join the NCCA and Advier on 16 June and find out what Australian cities can learn from European experiences:

  • Use it, don’t own it: the promotion and introduction of shared mobility;
  • The trend of neighbourhood mobility hubs - a physical place where different mobility modes and services meet;
  • Bicycle promotion: behavioural interventions like bicycle challenges for commuters;
  • Sustainable accessibility for tourists in Dutch national parks.

As usual, this event will be followed by networking drinks, for you to network with other attending guests and share your ideas and thoughts on shared mobility / the future of Melbourne.

Don’t miss out on this topic of conversation and book your tickets now via the register now button.
